Why We Don’t Show Provider Phone Number

Unlike other platforms that reveal contact details after booking, LuxuStars takes an extra step to protect both guests and providers: we do not display provider phone numbers or personal contact information at any stage.

Why we made this decision:

  • It reduces impersonation and fraud: Direct phone numbers open the door to fake listings, cloned WhatsApp profiles, and payment fraud — especially in markets like Colombia where scams are common.
  • It protects providers from spam and harassment: Public contact details invite unwanted calls, off-platform solicitation, and exposure to pushy or inappropriate messages.
  • It maintains professionalism: Keeping all communication inside the platform ensures a respectful, documented, and secure environment — no midnight calls, aggressive bargaining, or off-the-record deals.
  • It keeps communication verifiable: Messaging through the platform provides a full, time-stamped record that can be reviewed by LuxuStars in the event of a dispute or complaint.
  • It avoids unnecessary data exposure: Even after a reservation is confirmed, some providers or customers prefer to keep their phone number private. LuxuStars respects that choice.

How we differ from other platforms:

  • Some platforms show phone numbers after booking — LuxuStars does not, ever
  • All communication takes place in our secure Message Center
  • Once a booking is confirmed, users may choose to share contact details, but it's entirely optional

This policy is designed to protect your business, your privacy, and the integrity of every transaction on LuxuStars.
