How LuxuStars Prevents Fraud And Scams

At LuxuStars we take fraud and scams very seriously. From identity verification to secure payments and policy enforcement, we combine technical and operational measures to keep the platform safe and trustworthy for guests and providers.

Prevention measures we apply

  • Mandatory verification: all users (guests and providers) must complete ID and facial verification. In addition, every listing goes through manual review; we verify ownership/authorization and, where applicable, licenses or regulatory requirements.
  • Secure payments: PCI DSS–compliant infrastructure, tokenization (we do not store your full card number), CVC/CVV required even if a card is saved, and 3D Secure when available. We never ask for payments outside LuxuStars.
  • Protected communication: the Message Center keeps all conversations inside the platform. We do not display phone numbers or emails before booking, helping prevent impersonation and off-platform deals.
  • Payout holds and schedule: provider payouts are released after the service has begun and according to our published rules (e.g., typically 24 hours after check-in; 15 days for the first booking). This reduces chargebacks and unauthorized use.
  • Proof of service: we encourage uploading before-and-after photos in the chat to support delivery, which is helpful if a dispute arises.
  • Policy enforcement: in cases of fraud attempts or violations, we may issue warnings, apply restrictions or suspend accounts, and remove misleading content.

Red flags (for guests and providers)

  • Someone asks you to pay or chat outside LuxuStars (WhatsApp, external links, QR, etc.).
  • Pressure to “book now” with off-platform discounts.
  • Requests for sensitive data (passwords, verification codes) or irrelevant documents.
  • Descriptions that do not match the photos, or unclear terms about the service.

What to do if you notice something suspicious

1. Keep payments and messages on the platform.

2. Document with screenshots/photos if it’s safe to do so.

3. Use the flag icon (Report) on the listing/review, or open a case in the Resolution Center if it affects an active booking.

4. Contact LuxuStars Support with the booking ID and your evidence.

What we will never do

  • Ask you to pay outside the platform (bank transfers for the reservation, crypto, gift cards, etc.).
  • Ask for your passwords or verification codes via chat or email.
  • Share your phone or email with other users without your consent.

These measures are designed so you can book and host with confidence. If something doesn’t feel right, report it — your vigilance helps keep the LuxuStars community safe and trustworthy.
